Due to developments regarding the ongoing Covid-19 Coronavirus Pandemic we have been advised by our governing bodies to implement immediate changes to our working practice.
These changes are made to prioritise the safety of our patients and our staff whilst also fulfilling our moral obligation to reduce the spread of Coronavirus.
COVID-19 is a new illness that can affect your lungs and airways. It is caused by a virus called Coronavirus. It is highly contagious.

DUE TO THE HIGH RISK OF COVID-19 CROSS INFECTION WE CAN UNFORTUNATELY NOW ONLY SEE THOSE WITH AN ACUTE DENTAL EMERGENCY WHO ARE NOT DISPLAYING ANY SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS.
ALL OTHER APPOINTMENTS WILL BE POSTPONED AT THIS STAGE.
What is an acute dental emergency?
If you fall into one of these categories, please telephone the practice on
01904 489183 (Dunnington) or 01904 490060 (Strensall) to arrange a telephone appointment.
PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE WITHOUT A PRIOR APPOINTMENT.
Instead, if you have a dental problem that does not fall into one of the above categories please telephone or email the practice if you would like advice or guidance.
If you fit into one of the following categories and have an acute dental emergency, you must ring 111 where they will direct you to a dedicated centre that can treat you:
DO NOT COME TO THE PRACTICE.
It is worth remembering that Denplan patients will continue to be covered for emergency dental treatment including out-of-hours during this period.
Private pay-as-you-go patients will only need to pay out-of-hours charges if they are seen out of normal working hours.

These are difficult decisions at difficult times, but the safety of our staff and our patients must come first. We thank you for your understanding and patience and wish you all good health.
We will endeavour to contact and re-book all affected patients but obviously any future appointments made are still subject to disruption given the ongoing nature of the pandemic. We will do our best to keep you fully informed.
