Teeth Whitening
Safe and effective treatment to improve the appearance of yellow and discoloured teeth. Whitening changes the colour of natural enamel but not the colour of crowns, fillings or dentures. This does not mean you can not improve the appearance. You could whiten your natural teeth and then change the old, darkened restorations for new matching whiter ones. You should first visit one of our hygienists for treatment to achieve maximum results (scale and air polishing).
Whitening trays are custom made by recording a mould of your teeth. the trays are fitted at a second appointment. Gel is applied into the trays, which are normally worn at overnight. After a few weeks your teeth will whiten. when your teeth are as white as you like them, you simply stop treatment.
Aesthetic Dental Crowns (Metal Free Crowns)
Traditionally dental crowns have been made from metal and would have porcelain layered on top to try and give them a natural looking tooth effect. Because the metal from the crown is dark grey, generally this would be seen through the porcelain around the gumline. You may have an old crown or crowns like this you want to change.

We provide all ceramic crowns that are produced using CAD/CAM computer technology which is based upon 3D design. Not only are these crowns stronger but they look just like natural teeth.
Composite Bonding for Front Teeth
Composite bonding is a composite technique where a tooth coloured filling is shaped and moulded on you teeth to give the appearance of a whiter and more perfect smile. It can be used to improve misshapen, chipped, spaced and stained teeth and fillings. the results can be similar to porcelain veneers but there is no preparation of the teeth, so it is more conservative.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers are made by cementing a thin layer of porcelain to the front surface of a tooth after minor preparation. when completed in the right circumstances and carefully planned they can be one of the best ways to improve your smile.
Tooth Coloured Fillings
Replacing ‘silver’ amalgam fillings – if you have a silver filling that you are very aware of when you smiles, these can be changed to a contoured white filling. Not only will this improve the appearance and your smile, it can also restore the shape of the tooth resulting in a more functional tooth.
Air Polishing
Is a dental hygienist treatment that has been developed to keep your teeth clean and white. The Air Polishing technique is simple and painless; it uses air and water to deliver a controlled stream of stain-removing powder through a special nozzle. Stains caused by tea, coffee, red wine and tobacco can all be removed using air polishing. Air Polishing is a cost effective way to keep your teeth really clean and can be done as part of your routine hygiene visits for a small additional fee.
